CD32 flash RAM question
Hi people
Just registered. Been reading this site and there are a lot of wise people! I have a question about CD32 flash RAM. You can save game on it (I'm thinking of getting Frontier and Pirates! CD32 versions, and other games that require saving). But does the save remain in the flash RAM if you take the power cord off of CD32? Is it battery-backed, the flash? Wanted to make this clear, before I waste a fortune on those games... |

The CD32 flash RAM (or NVRAM) allows the save games to stay stored even after it is turned off (or unplugged entirely)

CD32 uses 24C08 EEPROM chip to store saves, no battery required.

Thank you both. I knew I would get a fast answer here.
Cheers! |
