Lightbulb Some possibilities.

Project X - The New Levels? I think this is either a hoax or a wrong title.

I remember Team 17 have released a budget version in 1993 with easier gameplay and shorter loading times (see Enhanced Version review). In the review nothing is stated about extra levels.

It could also be a demo of this game which was featured on a CU Amiga coverdisk in 1993. The demo featured the bonus-stage in which the spacecraft moved at a fast pace through small tunnels. In the demo the player had infinite lives.

Another: i had a single bootable disk where you can play a level with the fire in the lower part of the screen ( if i remember well, since it's unreadable and full of errorss ).

But maybe this level is also present in the normal version, where, being _a bit_ difficult, i arrive only near the end of 2nd level.

I think so.

It is present, at least, in the Special edition version.

I remember reading a story in one of the English Amiga mags (Amiga Action?) stating that Team17 released an extra disk with cheats on it because they "didn't have room" to put any cheats in the released version. People had been complaining about the difficulty apparently. The Special Edition does have a cheat, so I presume this refers to the first release. The article stated that the disk wasn't released on any magazine coverdisk, but was available for Team17 for (IIRC) 3 quid.
