Hmmm... maybe its just PPC's that necessitate a PSU better than the ol' 500 brick?

Been running mine for years withot problems. a normal A1200 PSU should be enough as well. The problem starts when/if you add a 3.5"HD in it, and other shit connected to the same PSU.

I still am, and the A500 PSU works just fine. Dunno about the A1200 one, never tried it, but the original owner told me it ran fine,.

Hold on, he used the 1200 PSU for years with the 3.5 inside, I just switched to the A500 PSU just to be sure.

So it should work.
