@guest.r : oh my, I have a very last request, would it be possible to make a combined shader with :
xbrz (whatever is the best one, I tried 6xbrz on my setup), scaled x3 + crt-hyllian Thanks again so much :-) I'm really happy with those shaders. Apart from the 50 Hz issue which seems kinda unsolvable (unless you set your screen at a multiple of 50 Hz), it makes the Amiga games look better than ever AND not destroy my eyes ! |

Oh, by the way, some people here mentioned dosbox. Does any of you use a Linux build of dosbox with shaders support ?
Gosh, been experimenting with real Amiga, FPGA Amiga, Pi's and emulation for such a long time, now I think there is no way back for me (especially since my eyes are now so much damaged by screens I need a pleasant picture and non flickering screen). Pfew. |

Np. true xBRZ 3x is used, tested it in Retroarch and the output is like with FS-UAE.

Nice. Will test it later. The scanlines looks perfectly fine in 1080p. 768p is indeed not good enough.

I really doubt the 1084 can do a better picture than a Sony Trinitron. The colors on that tv are stunning with RGB.

The best shader i have seen is CRT-Royale-kurozumi, here is a comparison with CRT-Hyllian. I don't know if this can be ported too (?).
CRT Hyllian - Snes9x CRT-Royale-kurozumi on Retroarch CRT-reverse-aa is a good one too. I like the crisp image. Shaders for FS-UAE that guest.r ported also work for Snes9x (OpenGL crt-scanline.shader) Last edited by nobody; 01 September 2017 at 12:27. |

It exists on Winuae but the image looks like S-video or something. In reality RGB is razor sharp. Look at the tweaks I did in Crt-hyllian-low. It's pretty close to real RGB.

Yeah i've been messing around with WinUAE, I even added this old shader. unfortunately there is a pink tint to the image and the scanlines are a mess.
I'll take a look at yours too. |

Hi ! A couple more questions regarding shaders + fs-uae :-)
1) as one has to use lowres mode for the pixel shaders, is it possible to have the WB in Picasso 96 mode, with the shaders not being applied to the latter ? 2) what is the optimal Amiga resolution for the pixel shaders to be applied properly ? (using xbr & crt-hyllian here) ? 692x540 ? 724x566 ? Thanks you again :-) |

This uniform variable should be declared along other uniforms: Code:
uniform vec2 rubyInputSize; Code:
if (rubyInputSize.x > 640.0 && rubyInputSize.y > 480.0) gl_FragColor = texture2D(rubyTexture, gl_TexCoord[0].xy); Quote:
Hope this helps. |

A new version of my CRT-Pvm-Lite shader is out. It has more options and looks somewhat nicer.
Prefered settings are: Code:
keep_aspect = 1.0 line_doubling = 0 low_resolution = 1 shader = crt-pvm-lite Edit: Adding a bit different shader, just an idea i had. Last edited by guest.r; 01 November 2017 at 19:10. |
