Apollo 060

I have only just got an Apollo 060 card for my 1200 and it was only the board I bought. Do i need any special driver disk for it or anything? On aminet all I can see is stuff for Phase 5 cards, are these libraries compatible with Apollo cards? Previously I was using an 030 so any other hints regarding getting the most out of an 060 would be useful as well.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi,

Yes you need the Apollo 060 libs. (Phase 5 wont work)

Here is the link to the Apollo 060 Install disk

http://www.l8r.net/install/accel/apollo060.DMS

Hope that helps,

Steve.

@Acid

I had no joy with those libs on an ACT based 060 -

what I did was

1. download MMULibs
2. unpack the lha
3. fire up WinUAE with your harddisk as boot
4. install the MMULibs
5. remove / rename the 680040.library from libs:
6. set WinUAE to 060 cpu
7. reboot
8. open CLI and type "setpatch"
9. you should read 680x0 library support
10. exit and add harddisk to your Amiga =)

No problem, I knew where to look! I needed the drivers a little while back for a CF Card I setup for someone and I posted at Amibay asking the same

If you havent already get an extra simm slot fitted to the apollo. I did it with mine a couple of years ago and made a difference - IE 64mb

Use PG from France knows everything to with Apollo repairs and upgrades.

Hope this helps!!!

the best tool you can get for this turboboard is remapollo
get it on aminet and read docs
with that tool you can map kickstart to fast memory....
that will speedup workbench refresh very much

Actually, if PG stands for Per-Gunnar J., he is not from France but from Sweden (Nordic country where every woman is blonde).

Help creating an amiga apollo 060 driver on amiga hard disc

Hi I am trying to upload drivers to my friends amiga 1200 for his apollo 060. I unpacked a iha file and uploaded this to a floppy disc using my pc but did not work.
Tried following Zetr0 guide but got as far as unpacking iha in winrar and downloading winuae software on google.

Im not sure how to fire up WinUAE with your harddisk as boot.

Next it says...... remove / rename the 680040.library from libs.....what do I rename 680040.library to ?

set WinUAE to 060 cpu I think is in the winuae settings

Any help on this would be very much appreciated
Thanks kd101

Hi

060 need stub 68040.library, size is about 1kb, it redirect library calls to 68060.library. So I belive that you have original/wrong 68040.library installed
