Installer

Hey guys

Im trying to install OS3.9 onto a fresh install of 3.1.

I get the error unable to open your tool installer

I have checked System:c/ and installer is in there.

When I click on the actual install icon for 3.9 it says c/installer

But I cant see that being a problem

I even copied the installer file from the OS3.9 cd and replaced the exisiting one in System:c/

Any help?

Many thanks

Hi,

Which version of Installer is in your C: directory on your hard drive? (From a CLI window, type "version c:installer")

And if you've copied Installer from the OS3.9 CD, check that its protection bits have been carried over. (Again, from a CLI window, type "list c:installer" and check that it says "----rwed" before the date)
