Can't save setting OS3.9 bb4

I noticed it with my A2000 running OS3.9 bb4 that I can't save my Repulse soundcard's setting. I close the prefs withg a "save" but they don't get saved and are back to default next time I open it.

Didn't think much about but now I have my A1200 with OS3.9 bb4 and the same happens with Cybergraphics settings and my warpos preferences ...

Try saving the confiig file in Ram or some other path and then overwrite it by hand the old file config.

I would check with SnoopDOS to see what what happens when you press "Save".

What should happen is that a prefs file is saved somewhere in ENV: and one in ENVARC: (ENVARC: being "SYS:Prefs/Env-Archive" and ENV: typically being "Ram Disk:ENV", but could also be just "ENV:" if happyenv or env-handler is in use). One thing that can happen is that all files in ENVARC: for whatever reason, are write-protected and cannot be overwritten.
