Hi kipper,

I'm sure I have some testcard-type pictures on an old LS-120 disk somewhere. I'll try and dig them out for you tomorrow.

If this is for AGA then they have to be 1-colour channel per test pattern, i.e. one screen full of RED, GREEN or BLUE.

Best to do full screen vertical bars, each test screen must have 256 shades of that colour.

It is very easy to make these images either with a bit of code or DPAINT.

Hi kipper,

I found the files I was looking for. The are just a bunch of low resolution BBC testcards, most of which are pictured on this page:
http://www.meldrum.co.uk/mhp/testcard/bbc_test.html

However, here are a couple of worthwhile BBC HD testcards I found by having a quick search tonight:

I apologize if they're not the kind of thing you were seeking.

They will be great, i dont think they changed the test cards since i was a kid . The BBC one looks like the same girl i can remember years ago.... pretty fuzzy memories now lol

Due to the Amiga's limited palette, traditional test cards are useless for colour tests.

As I said you need screens which are 100% one colour. 256 shades of red, green or blue going in vertical bands from black to 100% colour

To get a feel for what you're looking for open this image on your PC in 24-bit (32-bit) screen mode

http://www.spronkey.com/sdc-gradients.png

Look at the thin stripes at the top of the image. Just the solid ones. The gradients which look like a 100% solid smooth sweep from black to RED, GREEN or BLUE.

Now switch you gfx card to 16-bit and look at the difference. You should see discrete bands of colour in what was once a smooth gradient.

FYI the Amiga cannot display the above image "as is". Only one of the three colour gradients at once. You'll have to make your own representative one.
