A1200 expansion boards connector

Hello,

Is there a way to find A1200 expansion board's connector other than unsoldering one from a board? I suppose this connector is A1200 specific and unless producing new connectors there is no other way to get some.

I have a design that is able to be made, minimum order 100 and cost about $27 each. i have already stated if there is interest i would get them produced. I'm sure there is someone out there that wants to make new expansions for the a1200

The last time someone asked Jens Schoenfeld if he could sell them a single A1200 edge connector, the reply was something in the lines of "No. Give me €5000 first and I can start selling you as many as you want."

Jens claimed that he had bought machinery to make them himself. I think that's a lie, and that he actually buys them in bulk from China. Jens is constantly giving out the signal that there's no money to be made in Amiga, and that making any simple little hardware expansion requires huge expenses up-front. He does this to deter other prospecting developers from entering the market, because he doesn't want any competition.

Jens is not interested in helping anyone out unless it will benefit himself, and his only interest in the Amiga community is how much money he can squeeze out of it.

Excuse me, this is total crap.

Jens is an honourable Person.

There is Little Money To make with a Company in the Amiga market. Especially if you try To make a living Out of it. Hobbyists or Folks with companies as a side-Job detoriate the market further.

Nevertheless Jens has always reacted reasonably To any Support requests and helps in Forums. I really See no Need for bashing.

Cheers,
McT

Sorry but when I read the answers, it sounds like the connector was A1200 specific, in fact after some researchs I found out it in the international Amiga developer's conference Note that it is a Fujistu FCN-225J150-G/A like connector.

So there is nothing A1200 custom about this connector and does not need special manufacturing.

Fujitsu discontinued them in 2000, but one of the places you can still get them is here. Don't know how much though.
