True that. It also seems that it can affect importing/exporting to and from layout sometimes in the form of stack overflows and program crashes. Although it could be only my system or Oxypatcher...

The link for the FB group is now:
http://www.facebook.com/groups/Amiga.Raytracing.Society The Original Post is also updated accordingly. Unfortunately, even though the group is Public, I couldn't find a way to make it browsable for non-logged users... |

@emufan
Thanks a lot, it worked perfectly! The only thing is that I have to write that up again, whenever I restart my (virtual) Amiga. @Muadib Attaching my first render, after a few hours playing with Lightwave. It's kind-a dark , but I hope it is enough to see. We can post renders and animations here, or, if you don't want them here, we can open a new thread for that, and for LW questions. You should have the honor of opening thread, because you inspired several of us to install Lightwave and start playing with it. 2 questions: - I can undo mistake in modeler. Can I undo in layout? - Whenever I move object (or camera, or light), I need to place a keyframe for them to stay in place. Is that a must? |

- yes, no auto-keyframe feature (AFAIK) - just push "return" key twice, so make a key for current - selected - object/cam/light #1) cool image. #2) manual of lw 5 |

assign toaster: dh1:toaster assign 3D: dh1:toaster Otherwise, it won't start Lightwave. It's not that hard for me to retype this anytime I retstart workbench, but I am wandering if I can make workbench "remember" that. Btw, thanks for the great LW tips. |

assigns-icon should make those assigns, by double click on it. there is no window pop-up, you can double click as offten as u want. if you have 2 icons only, redownload the archive. it is about 77mb. Quote:

Hey guys,
This is great! Of course, I would be honoured to help, I'll start a thread after work. Regarding anims, pics etc we have begun posting in the FB group but we can do it here as well, I guess... There IS an auto-keyframe feature, actually. Go to Options tab (up-right in Layout) and click on 'Auto key create'. Adjusting position, rotation etc of an obj is recorded automatically by releasing the mouse button. The correct approach in using it is to first go to the respective frame FIRST (key shortcut is 'f' followed by the number) and then adjust, otherwise you will be overwriting your previous key, kind of dangerous. I suggest for starters to stick with the manual approach til you get used to it. BTW, great picture!! Gets your imagination to travel! @emufan thanks for the manual, I've been looking for it for years... Last edited by Muadib; 02 March 2017 at 10:48. |

Haven't had much time to play, these last days.
Here's a quick test of 3 point light setup on Dyno model that comes with LW. Still need to learn a lot about lights and shader possibilities. Any tips/tutorial are welcome. |

Awesome work I just joined the FB group. This is a really great project/group you have put together. Congrats! I have been wanting to dust off Imagine, since that is what I used to use, for quite some time and this will help motivate me!

@DarkElf Great work! Lights and shadowing are very fun to play and of utmost importance for realistic scenes! Experiment with some fog for simulating atmosphere. I usually almost never use Ambient Lighting, I just replace it with another Distant at 40% intensity, pointing opposite the 'Sun' with No Specular and No Shadows checked. Experiment and have fuuuun!
@AmigaBill Welcome to our family! Its going to be great! Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk |
