Looks good. Very Amigaesqe. Which is nice because with the new hardware they could have gone another direction. Have they fixed the AmigaOne G4 bugs yet?

I forgot to mention that the default look is not 100% finished yet, they are still working on some minor details.
Note that these screenshots show antialiased fonts (sadly, the rescaled and jpeg'ed screenshots make this look rather "blurry") and Gradients - two features that were not publically mentioned yet. adolescent: Quote:
There is a DMA bug, caused by a well known bug in the southbridge (VIA686B) which is not 100% fixed in the current Linux kernel - the next kernel build should fix this. |

KOrodny! Where have you been man!
Re: screenshots... dunno what's with people and using ugly texture BGs on windos, but that aside, looking good. The gradients in the windows look kind of like WindowMaker I wish I could run this on my Mac! BTW, Kickstart Version 50.1? a new kickstart chip is needed? |

It looks really nice. I love the gradient effect on the windows. However it looks a bit too grey to me. I think a nice slighty cloudy grey/white would look nice. Like how the sky looks on an overcast day. It's looking really good though despite not a great deal of visual change from OS 3.9. |

I've been checking the screenshots for almost as long as they've been putting them up, and they just get better!
Don't forget, this is just the default look - you want colours and patterns and pictures? Go to prefs and tweak it! Hope I get the Job I'm going for tomorow, coz if I do, it means that OS4 and full on G4 will be mine! Oh yes.... |
