a600 hd f*cked (pardon my french)
i recently installed a hd in my a600... fantastic had workbench installed and everything.. then came this laptop.. i needed to test another hd in it "no problem" i thought "ill borrow the one out of the amiga then ill reformat and re install" however when i came to unplug it from the amiga m board *snap* 5 or 6 pins actually came AWAY with the plug "well thats that fucked" is there any way to repair this im willing to solder but the plastic around the pins looks pretty tough

I have a couple of HD where a pin or two have snapped off. I assumed that that was that....

I can be done, but it would not be woth the time, effort and expense, as you were going to format it anyway, there's nothing worth recovering. |

Check out the IDE pinouts..
If the pins you broke off were all GND pins, you might not have a problem at all. |
