Get all HOL box scans for emulator frontend
Hey, im making a a set of 3D-boxes for Hyperspin (An emulator frontend). I've found a Gamebase-pack with lots of Amiga scans, however HOL is more complete and has slighly higher quality scans. Is it totally out of the question to get them all without the watermark? I know unexotica has a bunch of scans too, anyone got any other good sources?
This is an example: |

WOW bLAZER,
very nice 3D renders! Speaking about HOL... it's a GREAT site but I really don't know why in hell they put watermarks on the images. I really can't find a reason for it. Someone should be so kind to explain it to me. |

I absolutelly understand why the watermarks are present in the pictures (my own pages were robbed many times for my own pictures) and also I can't see any point in creating "3D boxes" which all have the same side parts. In HOL there are front and rear box scans only and adding some "standart" box sides to the 3D pictures just for the feeling of the real box is in my view pointless. Please, don't feel offended.

@Preseda
Well, it's just because it looks nicer in the front end. I will be making another box for AGA games for example so not ALL will have the same box. Of course I would rather have the real sides, but that would be a lot harder to automate the creation of the images and also is about impossible to find scans of. OK, so anyone have any other sources for scans without watermarks except Exotica? And here is the - I think - final box template: |

I must admit bLAZER, superb work mate
The only niggling factor in all of this creation is, not all boxes are of the same size, so will you're templates easily address this factor without distorting the edge? The 3D effect gives an aspect of realism which makes them a whole lot more friendlier too |

with the idea regarding front and back plates, I came up with this in photoshop, maybe something to this idea
and top box sheet on your boxart Blazer, I could nearly pick them up off the screen for a closer look preview here, to what I'm suggesting. |

Thanks dudes
I will make about 4-5 different templates to handle all boxes without too much distortion. Regarding the font and back: It takes up too much screen estate and it's harder to find scans of the back. |
