Crazy USB Link Hardware Emulation Idea

would it be possible to create a piece of hardware that would be linked to a PC via USB and the other end via PCMCIA or expansion port

a software program on the PC side would them emulate some hardware like an extended rom, AR for instance

a driver would then handle the Amiga side?

my Amiga hardware knowledge is pretty limited, back in the day the only addon i bought was a ram upgrade, i completely missed the whole acceleration thing and didnt even own a HD (rarely using Workbench)

i know this sounds kinda crazy and this idea is NOT built on any prior information, so simply could this be done?

flame away

Get a Subway or Deneb and a USB link cable, then the pc will emulate lots of things: mass storage, mainly.
