Hey there again; nope, the Ultima disc doesn't work under WinUAE alas.
It's vaguely possible that it won't work because the only versions online I was able to find were cracked ones, where as my originals were both direct copies of the original, boxed game... but booting from Underground/Boot and inserting your attempt to save Dungeon/Play just comes up with a wrong disc error during loading. (Ultima V only ever seemed to allow 1 disc drive). But yes, 91% success rate is nothing to be sneezed at, so thank you intensely! |

Because (unusual format aside) this disk has no points of similarity to any other Ultima V disk that I have compared it with, it crossed my mind that maybe this one had been overwritten too. It's not easy to tell with a non-DOS disk. Is there any possibility of that do you think?

Shouldn't have been over-written, as I left that disc in the original box to keep it safe. However I did at some point attempt to DISK2DFI it off on my PC, which may have corrupted it? I don't own a television any more to test it on my own Amiga (and come to think of it, I've no guarantee the Amiga works any more either!) so I guess that one's beyond salvage now...
