Blitz Shapes Limit

Hi

I am trying to convert an iff file into shapes to use as tiles for a hardware scroll. My problem is that my tiles are 16x16 and are part of a 320x256 screen. When I attempt to Getashape I hit a limit of 100 shapes (0-99). I thought the limit was 255 - do I need to free memory or is 100 the limit. I can't find any reference to shape limits anywhere...

In Blitz 2.1 go to far right menu Compiler/Compiler Options. When the box appears scroll the Object Maximums box until Shapes appears and edit that value. I don't know the maximum but some old source code from a Maptapper project was using 180 to extract some tiles.

goto -->Compiler --> Compiler Options in TED.
here you can alterate many variables like the max shapes number

Ah - thought there might be something I could do, guess it allocates more memory. Thanks a lot.
