blitz2 - Loading animation brush?


I am new to Blitzbasic and I am fooling around with sprites a bit. I have loaded shapes and made sprites from them, but when I try to load an animation brush with LoadShape I get:

"Illegal ANIM interleave value"

The brush was created in Dpaint III and saved as animation brush. Is that the wrong format?

I looked at the source of this game and he uses LoadShape to load animation brushes, but I don't understand how they were saved. Also, how are the frames switched once the shape/sprite is loaded?


I can't find much info on this in the Reference Manual.
