Realtek 3E8E3100 Network Card

I've had this card for ages, and since it's ISA (16-Bit,) jumpered, and NE2000 compatible (IIRC,) I was going to use it with the A2286 Bridgeboard to connect my A2000 to my home network (could care less about internet.) So, reading up on it, find I'll need the packet drivers and Janus (running on the A2286 I'm assuming,) acting is a server for the card. Not a problem, I start searching for the drivers (should be available somewhere.) Only, I can't find them anywhere. What's really frustrating, is that I'm finding clones of this card for sale ranging from $123 to $228 a pop. Now, a plane generic NE2000 clone can be had for $10, why is this card so bloody expensive? Maybe when I first purchased it, it was part of a kit I think. But now? It should only be 10baseT (and 10Base2,) which is primarily the reason I'm putting it in my A2000. It "may" be able to keep up with the card, not worried about the bridgeboard/card being able to keep up with my stock 2000. My stock 2000 can't even keep up with 28.8k modem (have to downgrade to 19.2 or suffer constant data loss.)

So, anyone know where the drivers are? Anyone know why it costs so much?

You should find that the drivers included with etherbridge will be enough to run the card in a A2000. Etherbridge includes drivers for NE2000 compatible NIC cards.

It's a moot point.... Thanks to the blasted daughterboard on the A2286, I can't put it in my machine. My Buddha with adapter has to go in the first slot - or it blocks the next 3 slots, 6 meg Fast ram card goes in second slot so RAM can be available as soon as possible, then Picasso II in the 3rd slot (it's 2 megs is why Fast RAM is only 6meg.) That leaves 2 Z2 slots left. Those 2 Z2 slots are also the ones that bridge over to the 4 ISA slots. The only 2 that are 16-bit are also the 2 in line with Z2. So, 1 has to be the A2286, and the other the NIC. The Daughterboard on the A2286 covers the ISA part of the next slot.... Would be OK, except both the RAM card and the Picasso card are full length

So, no bridgeboard in my A2000. My A4000 is even more cramped. So, my Ariadne II will go in my A4000 for now, until I can find another Z2 or Z3 NIC. The faster of which will go in the A4000 with the other going into the A2000. After I move, I foresee a massive eBay marathon (both selling and buying...) Though I may just go to Amibay and look for trade as well.
