Question Latest SmartFileSystem?

Which one is the definitive SmartFileSystem latest version?

http://home.wtal.de/js/index.phtml versions 1.227 and 1.230

aminet /disk/misc/SFS.lha version 1.227

http://www.xs4all.nl/~hjohn/SFS/ version 1.58 BETA

Is 1.58 really 1.580 and later than 1.227 and 1.230 ?

It says 1.58 is from the 25th March 99, so there is your answer. That's the old SFS website anyway. The new versions were probably developed from 1.13 onwards; or 1.58 is an old typo.

1.230 is the most recent version and that link is the development guys own webspace. It'll filter through to aminet eventually.

Cheers Bloodwych. I'm just getting back into Amiga things after being away for a while (since 2001!) and there's a lot to catch up on

I'm using SmartFilesystem 1.233

It might not have been released yet, but at least it's still being developed

Remember that most software versions are not to be treated as decimal numbers. For instance, 1.58 could be the 58th revision of the v1 code. So, 1.227 would be something like the 227th revision and thus newer.
