What are your favourite Amiga games?

Im after a list of what everyone thinks are the best Amiga games ever made,
of all main genres (or not!)- mainly officially released games, although if there
are any retro remakes id like to hear about them also. Ideally this list would
mainly include games that either only came out on the Amiga, or in which the
Amiga had the best version/conversion, to show what really set the system
apart from the rest.

If necessary seperate lists of the best 500, 600 and 1200 models are
welcome, or lists of your top platform games for example. I'd look for websites
that state the same 'Amiga game top 100's', but Id like to hear people talk
about why, rather than just looking at one simple list

I never had an Amiga so im interested.. if anyone can help

There are many simillar topics, and as others, this one will be biased and opinion based...

I liked:

Superfrog
Flashback
Lionheart
The Settlers
Battle Isle
Cannon Fodder (both)
Sensible Soccer (both)
Colonization
Civilization
Mr. Nutz
...
...
...

List goes on....

Meh, I'm game anyways.

Wing Commander was the game top of any of my personal lists in those days.

After that the Kings Quest, Police Quest, and SPACE Quest series came in close.

As for that list.. what were fighting games like in general on the Amiga?
I remember playing the Atari ST version of Street Fighter II, which seemed
to have individual discs you had to load up for most characters and stages.
zzzzz. around 10 or so in total. Ah well, I guess any disc was probably better
than my ZX Spectrum cassette player.. maybe. Well the game probably was
better anyway, haha- I'm sure SFII came out officially on that also!

speccy SF2! click here! http://www.mobygames.com/game/zx-spe...ii/screenshots

Tough one...

All in all i'd have to say Alien Breed 3D. Controversial but it meant I didn't feel left out when all my PC owning friends were raving about Doom. It also meant that I could say that my lowly Amiga could do 3D games too

Sensible Soccer, I still play it today and it still gets my pulse racing.

You try getting Iceland to win the European Championship.

Oh yes, Sensible Soccer, I spent weeks on that game.

For me its:

Rainbow Islands (I still play this on a regular basis)
Sensible Soccer
Alien Breed (All)
Full Contact
Lemmings
X-Project
Jurassic Park AGA
Another World
Flash Back

To be honest, I pretty much love 90% of the Amiga games. Even to this day, they might not have todays graphics but they have the most important factor that todays games miss out and thats GAMEPLAY.

I'd like Sensible Soccer on my GBA or DS right now!
I would be very upset if they tampered with the original, so its
probably most likely to appear on a Codemasters Classics volume 1
cart release alongside Fantasy World Dizzy. ie- not that likely -*sob!*!!!!!

My favorites have to be Lemmings and the Monkey Island games. Perhaps others that I can't think of right now.
