bootleg demake competition

demake = a remake of a modern game, retro style.

http://www.tigsource.com/features/demakes/

This features all games made for the competition, which should give a couple of hours of retro fun. I especially like "large scale vehicular stealing" (a demake of GTA).

Funny I will have a look at some of the games on the weekend. I like the 'large scale vehicular stealing' idea

Atari 8-bit will have demake of Amiga Dimo's Quest [ Show youtube player ] There is no chance for such brilliant music but I think gameplay should be similar.

I like how threads just become S2325's personal dump sites / dialogue with himself where he can collect and store all his bits and bops from the internet

I can't use WinUAE anymore as my PC is overheating. I'm just waiting for spring time.

I bet your heatsink is so full of dust that hardly any air can pass through it. Wash it under the tap and apply new thermal paste to the CPU.

Or u can drive it to the next gas station and have a wash with an air compressor as 1st instance. Use a mask to cover your mouth, that dust causes cancer.

If its overheating it could mean that you need to remove the heatsink scrape off the thermal paste and apply brand new, does the heatsink have fans are they still spinning properly, or is it a passive one ?

I would respectfully assume that when s2325 says "tried nearly everything" that the very first thing he tried was to apply new thermal paste and to check that all the fans are spinning properly.
