WHDLoad and Screen Promote?

Yesterday I've been trying to hook up my 12oo to a VGA monitor using screen-promotion tools (DoubleX, PKLudge, REMTVModes, etc) to promote PAL Low/Hi Res 15.6KHz screens to DBLPAL 31KHz screens, cos I kinda hate my analogue multisync monitor.

This seems to work pretty well, except that WHDLoad doesn't run when PAL is promoted to DBLPAL.

Is there anyone here who knows a way around this? Or is there some other way to connect a 12oo (Kick 40.68/OS3.9/18Meg/030) to a VGA monitor and run old PAL games using WHDLoad w/o a scandoubler?

I'm not the right person to answer this, but... ... ...

What game, exactly, did you try?
WHDLoad doesn't (can't) promote all of'em, especially those old NDOS ones.
Try ones you know for 100% that can be promoted - tried them without WHDLoad maybe?

Try those for example (out of memory):

Dune 1/2
Dungeon Master 1/2
Eye of the Beholder 1/2

- probably all Sierra adventures (Larry/Quests)
- many other adventures

You cannot promote hardware-banging games. Only programs using AmigaOS functions to create their display can be promoted.
