For mirror users:

I registered a domain so no more dependency on t28.net. New address should work soon, if not already: ftp.bit-rot.org (pun intended). Old address works until I see fit to remove it.

Transfer speeds should be much better now. Bandwidth was increased by factor of 10 today.

Unlimited logins got out of control. Multiple fast paced downloads of small files from many different hosts made my disks cry for mercy. It is possible that the client program does this without your knowledge. Anyway, logins are limited to 1 per host. Should be better for everyone. If the server seems stuck with Chrome/Firefox or whatever, use real FTP-client. Just about any should work fine.

Okay, got to get back to work now.

Nice one Turran & DannyBoy

I'm sure I speak for the whole EAB community when I say this...

Thank you sooooo much for everything you do and please let us know if there is any way in which we can repay you for your continued services. It's an extremely valued service that we couldn't live without

Just a thought off the top of my head; can you guys post PayPal details so anyone that so desires can contribute to your costs in some way; no matter how small or frequent?

You're welcome =)

Regarding PayPal... I don't know.. EAB does not add any costs to me, apart from the hardware (and yes, it could use some new storage soon).
I've always been against taking donations for some reason. I hate to become the "Donate now or the service vanishes. I need your money" kind of guy.

Plus, I have to expose my personal email which is connected to my paypal =)

My pleasure, DamienD :-)

Costs are not significant, apart from hardware, but I don't mind at all getting what is needed. If someone feels burning desire to donate that is okay with me (I don't use PayPal though). But make no mistake, it's completely fine not to :-)

If your DNS has not yet updated, replace grandis.nu with 37.123.138.156 (temporary)

Now, I will pass out somewhere
Hope your feeling better. Got on the ftp with 37.123.138.156 and no alarm bells from Peerblock.

Just want to thank you and everyone involved in keeping the ftp up and running.

If you feel that you would like to donate (although totally not necessary) then please use this PayPal address: eab "AT" grandis.nu

That's cool if it's used for beer money; it's more of a gesture.

After I got my new ISP and letting EAB run without restrictions, I've been monitoring the usage for fun. The EAB FTP uses between 5-20 GiB. Does not sound much, but that is PER HOUR =)

On average over the past week, 12 GiB per hour has been downloaded. The last 24 hours, 411.15 GiB outgoing traffic.

I had no idea Amiga was so alive.

I was thinking of putting the limiters back on it but hell... Keep on using it.
Currently, you have a gigabit in both directions and 40 logins tops for the anonymous FTP account =)

Had to block someone because of crazy amounts of login attempts. If it was just script gone wild or something, send pm please and I'll remove block.
