WHLoad Error

Every time I play a game with WHLoad using a kickstart 3.1 A1200 it always comes up with an error.

As you can see in the readme that Alex linked to. If you have that in the correct folder along with the renamed kickstart, you need to look for another kickstart image that is compatible.

As I thought, WHDload is attempting to load a slave (game) which requires emulating the kickstart ROM.

But you've not installed the kickstart ROM files, nor the patch files as described in that read me.

If you have followed *all* the instructions, then yes.

He's got an A1200... He needs the ability to read and understand.

WHDload is a compatibility patcher. You want to load a game which requires WHDload to load a kickstart ROM image from the hard drive into memory. But you have not got these files on your hard drive. So you get the error.

Read and understand the link I posted above.

Google and download the files off the internet.

Put them in the right place on your hard drive with the right file names and WHDload will work as described.

Good luck

1. I have no idea what instructions those are, just got ClassicWB which comes with WBLoad so I'm asuming it is installed correctly
2. I don't have an A1200
3. I understand what I have to do just not what the error meant since I thought I had a working kickstart

Do you have a folder 'Devs\Kickstarts' on your system partition? Are there two files named 'kick40068.a1200' and 'kick40068.A1200.rtb'?

Not corrupted, simply the wrong Kickstart file. This one should work.

Use the MD5/CRC32 numbers to check if the kickstart ROM files you have are corrupt??

Something not to understand? Get the correct kickstart, rename it, done.

The TOSEC name of the file. Use google, Kickstart uploads aren't allowed on EAB. CRC checksum =1483a091.
