I have also liked this. On Amiga: Panza was really great....unfortunately with a lack of a story or intense "main goal".

I certainly wouldn't choose 3D World Boxing.
I finished the game the first time I played it
My vote goes to Panza Kick Boxing

Riddick Bowe Boxing/Chavez was quite good for the SNES.
Irem's Pound For Pound and Best Bout Boxing by Jaleco are worth a look as well.

As "Paul the Great" or something like that I finished it on the ST.

I remember there was a knack to the training that once mastered made you super tough! Definitely the best boxing game I've ever played.

I never really got into Boxing games in a big way, I enjoyed Barry Mcguigan's boxing on the c64 though, did play some TV Sports Boxing on the Amiga, was impressed with the digitized graphics at the time.
