Elvira was pretty nice but the woman in her kitchen wasn't. I couldn't find any pictures of her but throwing salt in her face surely improved her appearance.

And why did they do ugly box covers, while even ingame gfx printed directly as it is would have been much cooler in many cases
Even with bigger pixels... still more stylish.
