It's unfortunate, but the [gs] bbcode tags are no longer working (again), this is due to google changing how you can share the documents and no longer use the same url paths as before.
Seems like this bbcode may be better laying to rest as it seems it doesn't really get used that often. |

The more we use external dependencies, the less those features will be stable

Yeah, I understand that RCK.
Damn Google. Shame there's not really another alternative |

If anyone wants to attach a spreadsheet to a post, there is a very capable, tiny, portable, multi-lingual and standalone Excel compatible spreadsheet program, Spread32 - shareware, but only with a reminder to register upon opening, saving and exiting, which will enable all users to open the attachment, and can be used in the meantime until embedding is working again (if ever).
Edit: I am a Registered user of Spread32, but I can't distribute that version, obviously. Last edited by prowler; 07 November 2017 at 15:59. |

I doubt it'll ever surface again Prowler, it was a cool feature to have embedded but it's use was almost none existent, except for the odd piece that I used.
It's a shame, but Google likes to keep messing around with things and it's more trouble than it's worth to keep up with them. So I fully understand the features removal. Your Spread32 is certainly worth a look though |

MIcrosoft also does Excel online for free now, if you are looking for spreadsheets, and to move away from Google.
