Custodian 1988 version
I'm currently dumping my games to see if there's anything that isn't in SPS yet. My Custodian version seems different because it says "(C)Copyright 1988 Rob Northen" whereas the SPS version has a "(C)Copyright 1989 Rob Northen" version string. Unfortunately, the image I created using Kryoflux doesn't pass the protection.
Is anybody interested in checking what's wrong there? When ripping the image using Kryoflux all tracks were green, except track 0 side 1 (the copylock track). So it can only be that something's wrong with that track, can't it? |

the copylock track need a redump, it's faulty.

Ok, has this disk been tampered in any way ? do the original work ?
Because as it is, the copylock is faulty. |

On my A600 it doesn't work. The LED flashes and then the machine resets and enters a guru meditation...

Hmm, I can't spot any differences other than the bootblock message after building an ipf of your stream and testing in WinUAE.

The raw dump mc68060 uploaded has a bad copylock track, it won't load, just sticks on the copylock track!

Yep, I meant your dump from the zone, that loads just fine after transcoding to ipf.

Barry, your dump has exactly the same problem as Mc68060. The copylock track is bad.
I did a check on the official IPF, it uses the same track, but it decodes correctly. I'd say a bit of clean up on track 0 would possibly be good..... |

Probably mastered like it? My copy actually works as Retroplay can verify. The disk is nice and shiny, no errors when dumping the DOS tracks so can't see why track 0.1 would need cleaning?

Could it be that the disks were written with an intentional bad copylock track? I know some disks for Amiga done in batches had the same errors lol.
