best story driven/campaigns on Amiga
One rule here:
No (pure) adventure games, like Monkey Island, Ween, Simon, Larry.. simply because pure adventures don't have anything then campaign. What I like to hear from you: What is the best Amiga titles that are in various genders, but you still think that story is awesome. (avanturistic hybrids are welcome, like: Another World.) Here is my few picks: - Wing Commander - Dune 1 - Arabian nights - to some extent... Cannon Fodder |

I always really liked "Rise of the Dragon".
Although I didn't have the stamina to finish it, but however I really liked how the story started and the way it is told. Also HackerII - The Doomsday Papers has - not such a huge story - but a very nice setting. |

I would say that Disney's Aladdin follow a little story in between levels story boards, also Brian the lion and Flink got some nice story pop-ups here and there.

Marvin's Marvellous Adventure also got some small plot in cut scenes between worlds and when You found some text in "HELP" speech bubbles.

Still a really good question, I'm going to have to think about that. Most non-adventure games don't really have any kind of deep storyline, it's usually something along the line of "save x", "get back to y", "defeat z" and from there it's all about the journey, not the story. |

Probably not the vintage being considered, but Descent: Freespace has a very good story that gets told as you progress through the game. At some points, the story takes different paths too depending on the outcome of certain missions.

Moonstone has a pretty decent story/plot, some basic lore in-between loading screens, intro+outro stuff also nice. Think there's some extra cut scenes and cool stills throughout. Quite forward thinking really.

Wow man, never even heard about this game, and now when I see it on youtube, it looks absolutely amazing. That graphics is stunning.
Gotta try it sometime. Thanks. Yeah man sorry. My grammar sucks! Quote:
Never had any close hardware to play it, but I saw it on the youtube and looks to me very interesting. Wing Commander also had 2 different paths, and even your companions could die that would make in-between missions slightly different. I will probably play this on Winuae, because I love arcade space sims pretty much. |

I remember enjoying the diary entries in Wings back in the day.

Killing Cloud and quite surprisingly Zeewolf (especially Zeewolf 2) has a good story. And all campaigns in Subwar 2050 are excellent.

Agree about Wings - the diary is excellent in setting the scene
Also about Rise of the Dragon - however I feel Heart of China is better - loved the story and the characters |
