Received mine, no magnets or goodies sadly. The magazine was great, loved it. The interview wasn't bad, you posed some good questions which I didn't feel were answered as well as they could have been.

The CD is great, lots of fun! Count me in for more

Worthy is a great game, spent the entire night shouting at my CD32 and dying....ALOT. But boy was it fun! The other half is properly chuffed that she has an original disk copy for her A600. I can see her playing that for months to come, before that she was playing Ugh! This might just have nudged it from first place ;-)

Received mine as well. I will contact you via mail, AmigaJay, with some more detailed remarks. :-)
Overall I am very happy with the mag, much better than I expected (in other words: I wasn't sure what to expect). My sons (8 and 11) which can't read/understand much English love it, too. They flick through the mag _daily_ and discuss the games and what else they see and recognize. :-) Very funny and nice to see.

Thanks a lot AmigaJay for your hard work!

Hi ! my article on your great new magazine is published online on a famous French Amiga website :
http://obligement.free.fr/articles/c...nemagazine.php

SO proud of this WoW

small translation by google......

Quote:
August 2018! This date will be a landmark in the history of the retro video game because, 25 years after the birth of the Amiga CD32 console, a new magazine dedicated exclusively to her, named CD32 Scene Magazine! Also note that the last CD32 magazine (Amiga CD32 Magazine) goes back to 1996 ... Yes, CD32 Scene Magazine is, as at the time, accompanied by its CD of games and demos!

CD32 Scene Magazine
The cover of the first issue

The genesis of this project goes back to one and only person, the British "Amigajay". It is a programmer on Amiga who officiates a lot on the English forum the most active for this machine which is English Amiga Board. He is not at his first weapons, he runs a few years a blog where he presents compilations unpublished for CD32. In short, he is a lover of this console too little known and unfairly neglected.

Presentation

CD32 Scene Magazine is in A5 format, convenient format because less expensive to produce and easy to take away. The cover is glossy paper, the inside is coated paper, all in color, 40 pages. It has already been sent to 40 countries, including the United States, a country that the CD32 in its day could never achieve because of patent, but that is another story as Alain Huyghues-Lacour would say.

CD32 Scene Magazine
Everyone is talking about CD32 Scene Magazine!

The contents

On the CD is like at the time of Amiga CD! Magazine, a video editorial of its former publisher Ashly Cotter-Caims. The summary clearly presents the contents of the magazine, with an editorial of the author:
A description of the demos and games contained on the CD provided.
The latest games in development on this console.
Tests on recently released games on the console (Worthy, Reshoot, Lumberjack Reloaded).
News from the public domain Amiga.
An exclusive interview with Martyn Brown, former member of the Team 17 team of programmers.
A summary of the games released during the short career of the CD32 (in this issue we start at the letter A).
Future games scheduled for the end of 2018 and beyond.
The results of surveys on the owners of the console.
CD32 Scene Magazine
The first two pages

CD32 Scene Magazine
Some other random pages

The CD

The CD included with the magazine has been tested successfully on a basic CD32 and also on a console with Fast memory and a TF328 accelerator card. But the author does not guarantee its compatibility with the SX-1 and SX32 extensions, nor with the NTSC machines.

The CD has the following content:

Full game
Lumberjack Revisited (exclusive update with audio track).
Playable demos
Heroes Of Gorluth (exclusive).
Zerosphere CD32 (exclusive).
Public domain games
Bomb Jack Beer Edition (enhanced version CD32).
Alco-Copter.
bonus
CDXL video introduction by Ashley Cotter-Cairns (exclusive).
How to get CD32 Scene Magazine?

Orders are placed on the magazine's Facebook page. Its price is £ 4.99, ie 5.56 euros (excluding postage), for a bimonthly periodicity (every two months) and with the possibility of receiving the newsletter.

The first batch of magazines was sent in early August. A second batch has been printed and is expected to be available from August 27, 2018.

My opinion

I found it incredible that a machine considered as stillborn found a second wind thanks to the energy of a passionate. This magazine reflects the scene Amiga British, French, German, Swedish, Polish, Russian ... which is very active.

So that the spirit of Commodore never goes out, the "old" Amigans of the time, and now the newcomers who take the torch, are more and more "pro" in their productions of games. The current productions are of the level of commercial games of the big time Commodore.

CD32 Scene Magazine
Previews

Here is a quick list of the games released this year and in preparation, according to CD32 Scene Magazine:

Games released
Worthy.
Road Avenger.
In anticipation
Alarcity (shooter).
Athanor 2 (adventure).
Inviyya (shooting game).
Heroes Of Gorluth (platforms).
Highway Sprint (race).
Proxima 3 Red Dwarf Star (shooting game).
Reshoot R (shooting game).
Scourge Of The Underkind (platforms).
Zerosphere (platforms).
This magazine will surely grow over the water and should become unavoidable, even if there is not enough material to treat on the CD32. The first issue already sets the tone and offers some exclusives. The price of the magazine, its periodicity, its content and the presence of a CD already make it a magazine to follow closely.

Sadly I don't have a CD32 (maybe one day) but I have booted the CD on my 1200 with ide drive. A little bit temperamental but msotly works (with my PSX to DB9 adaptor set to CD32 mode). have managed to get all games to run - really like Lumberjack, Zerosphere and (of course) Bomb Jack.

I can boot from a disk (idefix CD32 emulator) or just straight to Workbench! it's great ot have that coverdisk feeling...

Still working on running the cdxl videos...

As an interim, you can always make an image of the CD and run via WinUAE

So I got the magazine and its absolutely brilliant. The CD although with new games on it did bring a lot of great memories when I used to buy Amiga CD32 Gamer.

I plan on doing a 2 part review with part 1 showing whats on the disc and part 2 will have me rambling about the magazine.

Part 1 is uploaded and I hope you enjoy it.

By the way, there are timestamps if you wanted to skip anything I have supplied time stamps in the description of the video.

I got my magazine couple days ago, Thank you.
I was a little surprised how small it is, I was thinking it would be at least A4/Letter size.
