I can't either but the drag and drop more than makes up for it. What a tremendous time saver that is. I guess that's another reason why you are supposed to RTFM Now I'll be able to easily check every floppy before uploading it. Hopefully that means that there shouldn't be any more bad floppies uploaded. Yay!

Thanks so much for this!

yep, it does help indeed. this does also work with ISO images (you have to install a cdrom file system)
or with folders, which get mounted this way.

this set is already part of TOSEC collection.
but we now have the manual and disk labels too

#1) I had a closer look, on those BBS index files - tosec dont have them all:
Interior Design I (5 disks)
Interior Design II (4 disks)
Interior Design III (4 disks)
Interior Construction Set (4 disks)
Home Interior Designer (5 disks)

atm only 2 sets of them are part of Tosec, but it seems the remaining 3 are available
in those BBS archives on the ftp.

#3) with help from chip, I made a list of all the related disks we have now:
Code:
Homes (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 1 of 5)[req. Lightwave].adf
Homes (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 2 of 5)[req. Lightwave].adf
Homes (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 3 of 5)[req. Lightwave].adf
Homes (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 4 of 5)[req. Lightwave].adf
Homes (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 5 of 5)[req. Lightwave].adf
Interior Construction (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 1 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Construction (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 2 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Construction (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 3 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Construction (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 4 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design I (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 1 of 5)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design I (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 2 of 5)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design I (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 3 of 5)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design I (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 4 of 5)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design I (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 5 of 5)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design II (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 1 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design II (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 2 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design II (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 3 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design III (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 1 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design III (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 2 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design III (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 3 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
Interior Design III (1994)(Replica Technology)(Disk 4 of 4)[req. Lightwave].DMS
can you confirm the correct number of disks of each set?
disk #4 of "Interior Design II" is missing - if the set consists of 4..

So I went through all the documentation and fixed several problems. I straightened out skewed pages. I rotated about 50 pages in the GVP ImageFX manual that somehow got scanned upside down. Yeah I know, operator error All of the documents are now right side up - you don't have to rotate in your PDF reader anymore. They should automatically rotate when you print them - at least it does in Foxit Reader. Now all of the documents should be searchable. If I missed any please let me know so I can fix it.

I also replaced the bad disk for eclips_Disk_3.adf

Here is the list of everything that was replaced.

Documentation folder:

\Hardware\Digital_Processing_Systems\
DPS RC 2000 Personal Series Remote Control manual

Multimedia_Resources folder:

\Aloha_Fonts
eclips_Disk_3.adf
eclips Electronic Clip Art for the Professional manual

Road Signs for LightWave manual

This is unfortunately the PC version and not the Amiga one. Best option is to open the adf and copy the scenes and objects to the folders on your hard drive. Do NOT run the installer. It's a PC program and won't work on an Amiga. Read the manual. These objects are single sided polygons to speed up rendering. If the back side will be seen, the manual gives directions to do that.

Software folder:

\Aegis
Aegis Pro Motion manual
Modeler 3D manual

\A_Plus_Development
AutoPaint manual
Disk coming in next batch. This is very similar to Composite Studio but has fewer features. The positive thing is that it is super fast and uses much fewer resources than Composite Studio

\Beilschmidt_and_Dorn

XiPaint 4.0 Manual
This program has been uploaded elsewhere but I didn't find the manual (such as it is)

I think this is a newer version of the operators than the ones I uploaded previously.

\Zuma_Group
TV Text Version 1.0 manual
TV Manual Changes and Additions for Version 1.1

Floppy labels and CD faces have been scanned and uploaded for much of the software in case you want to recreate the disks. They are rough cropped leaving a good bit of space around the edges.

This is probably going to be the last update for a while until I can go and get the next load. Enjoy!

That's exactly why I'm trying to get all the documentation I have uploaded. We've got lots of great software here but a lot of it doesn't have as nice of an interface as Lightwave for example. Pretty much everything is clickable somewhere. Without the manual you wouldn't get the keyboard shortcuts that make working with it so much faster but you can still do everything.

Could you imagine someone sitting down cold with Imagine (no pun intended) without a manual? That is such a funky interface and instead of using standard names for functions they delighted in making up their own names for everything. You couldn't figure out anything just from context since their context is so unusual. Heck, WITH the manual it wasn't a cakewalk to figure out Imagine

Real3D was another of these apps, I never understood. too many buttons :/
there was that impressive lizard cover image, so I once tested a demo version,
but this was no fun at all.
so I went back to LW and did rotate some cubes and spheres

btw: Heifner_Communications/PEGGER_Version_2.adf is bad, can you try to copy it again?

That's funny. I really enjoyed Real3D. I got it when I got a Retina for my 3000 and something about it clicked with me. I had more trouble with RetinaEMU than Real3D

I'll try to make another copy of the disk this weekend. I thought I had checked all of them with Disksalv but must have missed it. Sorry about that.

may happen I did test real3d when I already did some startrek animations,
erm, cubes and spheres, in LW. so the real3d gui was a bit odd
I think the pegger disk was one of the first uploaded. only tested recently.
hence the late report

The one I just uploaded is the second tape in the series. I haven't unpacked the first one yet. There is also the companion CD in the same directory that has the scenes and models and such that accompany the tapes.

Edit: BTW this tape has more glitches than most. This is the best of the three copies I have - possibly because this one was still sealed. I'm almost thinking there were problems with the master tape because some of the glitches show up in the same place on all three tapes.

If you know basic things in lightwave you can follow, despite the quality.
what he says does also help alot, and it's some historic document anyway

don't get me wrong, but I did convert one of the videos using ffmpeg -i in.mpg out.mp4 - no further option.
what you get, jugding with my no more perfect eyesight, is an (almost) identical video
and you save 90% diskspace.
just try on your own, makes things faster for you and download time is reduced aswell

Thanks emufan! I get an error
Code:
'530 Sorry, your maximum number of connections from this IP (1) has been reached.'
from my FTP client, though, but I'll solve this somehow...
UPDATE: Fixed!

Again, thank you P, this is really amazing stuff! Eyxaristoume!
