Cody's Extra Special EAB Competition
When I did the CAPS/HOL stall with fiath at the Extreme Computing Show 2002, we were next to Chris Abbott, who remixes C64 tunes on CD (www.c64audio.com).
He gave me this signed inlay card from the Back In Time 2 CD, that I could maybe use in a competition. I just remembered about it recently! It's signed by musicians Martin Galway, Rob Hubbard, Mark Cooksey, Paul Norman and producers/arrangers Chris Abbott, Warren Pilkington, Darren Izzard, Peter Connelly, Jogeir Liljedahl (as far as I can make out) and someone else that I can't read... So, I'm doing an extra hard competition and giving it away. It's only the piece of paper that comes with the music CD, not the CD itself. Here are the rules: - 20 parts; first 10 are 'name that screenshot' rounds and the second 10 are normal questions - One point per correct answer - Send answers to cody @ abime.net - Closing date is midnight on the 11/12th August (French time) - If there is more than one winner, then I'll do more questions or a tie-breaker phrase or something - Cody Jarrett, RCK, Walker, Twistin' Ghost and Codetapper are not eligible to enter, 'cos they can access my screenshots and database and would be at an unfair advantage! And Cody can't keep it for himself, either. I'm off to Canada until the 11th August and I'll find out the winner when I come back, so there's plenty of time. |

Okay, I've edited the rules so that I'm neither eligible to enter or to keep it!
It must go to someone! |

Well the screenshots shouldn't be too hard figuring out. I can identify 2 of them (I think) with my very limited knowledge. But seeing as how that's about all I know I'm not going to enter anyway.
I think one of the reasons for the difficulty is because there's only 1 winner. No splitting it. This way effectively ensures this. Question is though, since this is from a CD of C64 remixes, if it shouldn't be C64 related. |

If nobody enters, then I'll think of another way to do it!
Yeah, it probably should be C64-related, but I don't know much about the C64... |

Update: Hmm, maybe your right - I thought some of the games in the "Extended" LTOI II pack (that I bought for the Mac) were not available for the Amiga... Last edited by fiath; 29 July 2002 at 07:56. |

Well, time to announce the winner of this competition!
And it's... Nobody! That's right, nobody entered! Hmmmm. Perhaps the questions were too hard. |

How about leave the questions where they are and extend the date perhaps. I may even give it a try and see how much I really know about the Amiga

I found the questions to be too difficult for the prize it is.
I love C64 music and I admire many of the musicians, but I never liked fanatisms so I don't die to get a piece of paper signed by them You might s well keep the cardboard piece for some years and then ebay it and earn wads of cash (hey! everybody does that ) |

I hold my hands up - this is HARD and that's why I didn't enter - fear of looking thick!
If you knew the answers to these questions without researching Codester, you are an Amiga knowledge legend! |

I'd look too stupid. Only 2 I had somewhat answers for would be picture 7 being Mike the magic dragon, and picture 8 being moonstone. And the rest would be completely wrong (like the 2 here)
Are we going to get an official answers sheet now? |

Well, Drake has told everyone the answers to screenshots 7 and 8. Also, the answers to questions 12 and 16 can be found by searching on Google. Question 15 can be easily found out by looking at my Amiga Power index at the link that I supplied a couple of posts back.
If nobody wants to enter in the next day or two, then I'll make an easier quiz, or keep the prize for myself! |

Sorry about that Cody. I thought the competition was over and if it was going to go on you'd make easier questions and screenshots anyway.
