A2000>VGA Monitor
since my 1084s blew up i was wondering if i can purchase some kind of adapter that would let me use my vga monitor? i am more thinking along the lines of having to buy some sort of graphics card to do this. if that is necessary what do you recommend?
its an A2000HD, ECS Agnus, 2Mb Chip, 3Mb Fast, 68030/25 2 hardrives (50Mb,127Mb), Kick 3.1 etc etc |

Well, I just purchased a Spectrum EGS 28/24 Grafix card for my A2000 ! That one is exactly like the Picasso II and you can use P96, CyberGrafx and EGS Drivers to make a real nice looking WB It also got PASS THROUGH technologie for letting the RGB signal through the grafix card, so you can also play old games on your VGA Monitor
Alternatively you may buy a Scandoubler/Flickerfixer Combi to just double the 15kHz from your RGB Signal to 30kHz so the VGA Monitor is capable of display your RGB signal to his screen ... but then you only are able to use RGB resolution and colors (the EGS gfx card can do up to 24bit colors ) |

Yup, Im using A2000 with A2320 - a commodore's flicker fixer, and have it connected to a SVGA 15" , works fine , of course even old ndos games etc...
