Speedball 2 Tournament Released on Steam ($35.95)
So the sequel to Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe was released on Steam and to stores in Germany.
I'll be buying mine soon but I was wondering, who in the Amiga community is anticipating it? Kotaku has said that there was no need for a sequel (proven by Speedball 2100?) I really hope it's a success, perhaps we'll see other classic game franchises upgraded for the new generation. Online speedball should be fantastic. |

What I don't understand is why they don't do a port of Speedball 2 with an online mode - forget all this 3D nonsense.

It would be awesome to have steam releases of Speedball 2, Chaos Engine 2, Z, etc with online play. Not like the terrible release iDSoftware made. |

My gf bought it as a gift when it was bundled with a one of the daily newspapers over here since she knew I was fond of the Amiga version (I would never buy one myself). Was a bit sceptical at first but it grew on me (especially when I got to grips with the controls). Not a bad game. |

I totally hate the 3D version, its simply not fun anymore. The old Worms is still fun in multiplayer mayhem

If anyone wants to play the 360 live version online let me know, just downloaded it. playing it in original mode. The crowd sound effects kind of get on your nerves after a while. Its good that you can switch back and forth from 3d to original midgame.

Next years convention will be a MUST for us to have a 2 player bout on Speedball 2 for at least a couple of hours. |

Looks good but what? Who needs all those 3D hyper super cool nonsenes when we have originals? All I want is some kind of World of Speedball 2, just like SWOS. Career mode and leagues in different countries etc. With original Speedball 2 look!
Dont get me wrong, this one is maybe good game but why all of those classic titles has to look like they do? 3D, brand new engine and so on. |
