*** Commodore Kick's Ass ***
You are absoulutely right. Commodore kick's ass. Efficient, cutting edge and totally overlooked. Modern computers are so lazy. Just imagine a world without Windows and where Commodore didn't meet it's dissapointing end. Technology would be so much cooler.
This is exactly the reason I am a complete retro freak. I hate greedy Windows systems, but we all have one tucked away somewhere in our houses. My C64 and A1200, A600, A500 are my pride and joy however. RETRO FOREVER! |

I love that Robotic Liberation DEMO. It's the only one I have seen from VIC-20. It's just sooo cool.!!!
---- Apple sucks. Their's stuff is good for rich kids and ultracool people to show how hip they are. Their stuff istn't actually bad, probably even nice to work with, but they are in a way worse than Microsoft by preventing their users to use standard hardware in their machines, so people have to buy overpriced things. Now they finally switched to intel CPUs, and are trying hard to keep their OS from working on standart PC machines. Oh man. Thanks God I am not interested anyway to use their dumbed down OS. It's only good for people who like to pay a lot and dont (wanna) know how their machines are working from the inside. |

I attended the Alternative Party 2003 where PWP presented the amazing Robotic Warrior, another excellent demo for the Vic 20. All I can say is that watching this through youtube is good, watching this live is simply an amazing experience. Robotic Warrior was the first ever demo for unexpanded Vic-20 that featured speech synth. Gave me goose bumps for sure....

It's a fun demo alright.. The speech synth plays a mental trick.. There's very few syllables it can pronounce, so it relies on you reading the texts and wanting to hear those words in the music. :-)
An IRQ loader is running all the time with the 1541 feeding more code + charset data to the VIC. |
