Thanks for the great job Wepl!

As far as "ludicrously huge work needed" feature, I would like for it to work with cbm64 images too, but I'll be happy with normal WHDload too...

I don't know how to make this. Using a real CDROM drive? There is no standard interface. Also how many people have connected their drive to the audio output. ATM I think not worth the effort.
Thank you for your answer Wepl. My hope is gone. No, i'm joking, thank you !

I have a strange problem on my A4000 + CS Mk3 060 + OS 3.9. Games work on WHDLoad 17.x and most of games doesn't work on 18.0.
I'm double checked SWOS 96/97, Cannon Fodder, Heimdal, Speedball 2.
Any hint what's the cause?

BTW, I'm switching betweend WHDLoad versions just copying a few files to C:

You could have a different whdload local in every game that needs a special version or point into it via the default tool in the info file. Not to say it would be nice to get everything to work by default but the slaves might to need a rework.

It is not recommended to have different WHDLoad versions for a game (default tool, game dir). Just for test situations this might usefull.

If you manually update WHDLoad then you should also compare S:WHDLoad.prefs with the new one. And always read the update history file. S:WHDLoad.prefs has changed from V17 to V18. I don`t know if the installation script update the prefs. Someone knows it?

For the games SWOS 96/97, Cannon Fodder, Speedball 2. They all work fine her with WHDLoad V18.0 on A1200 040 3.1. You wrote 17.x, so check 17.0, 17.1, 17.2 to see if some changes make your games not run. Btw. "games doesn't work on 18.0." is a not a good information. Always explain what happens in detail.

Thanks daxb for checking these games on your config.
I will do more test on my other Amigas today (A1200/030, A3000/030 and 040).

Installer updates prefs but if this file exists already then it doed not overwrite it, but renames the new file. All options in prefs are commented out, so not active.

And by writing "game does not work" I have meant it hangs my A4000 completely after a 3 seconds (complete hang with Caps Lock LED not working when pressing the key).

UPDATE:
I've tested WHDLoad 18.0 on my A1200/030 + ClassicWB and it works fine with these games.
So there is some change in 18.0 version which has a problem with 68060 or OS 3.9.
