I have a problem with my account on here please help

Hi all
I have a problem with my other account on here under Spannernick,I changed my email addy and now I can't post at all and can't look at my messages so it looks like i have been locked out completely so I made a new one so i can post again and post about this,I would like to chamge my name to this one i am using spanner,well that is my name after all..

If a mod can sort it for me it would be appreciated.

I have looked at the members (where you click at the top "Members List / Moderators List" ) and I can't find my other name in the list my name Spannernick only my new one...??

For some reason you're now in the user group 'Users Awaiting Email Confirmation' which explains why you can't post or why you don't appear in the member list. Why this has happened I have no idea.

Unfortunately moderators can't change this, only RCK as an administrator can do it and he doesn't appear here too often. Hopefully he will be here soon and will rectify this problem (and with any luck he will allow us mods to change user groups etc).

And, until this is sorted out, others should avoid changing their email address if at all possible.

i have the same TOO i am ramparts and i even asked for moderators to rectify the same for my account but till now no answer

Who did you ask? 'Moderators' is a bit vague and I (at least) have never seen any request from you.

Anyway, sorry for anybody who has experienced these problems. Could well be a bug in the forum software or something... certainly something for RCK to look into at any rate. As Prowler suggests... if anybody else wants to change their email address proceed with caution for the time being.

Hi ramparts,

As Graham has said, the moderators here are not able to help with this problem, as administrator privileges are required.

When RCK next comes online, he will be able to sort this out for you both.

I'm sorry you didn't get a reply. It was because at that time I wasn't sure what might have been causing the problem, but now that two users have reported it, there will be a better chance of nailing it.

i sent mail for at least 2 moderators i think sending mail for 2 is enough i think if they don´t resolve my issue is because they couldn´t , if i send to all moderators imagine how many mails i will have to type plus if 2 didn´t help i think the others couldn´t also
i think i send one to rck but never was replyed

I did post about it on Amibay and johnim contacted TCD on there about it and and I replied but nothing has been sorted yet..

So RCK get you ass back here and sort ASAP...lol..(Joke)

There should be more than one admin just incase things like this happens and the main admin is away.

I didn't get a email to reactivate my account BTW..(Thats the problem when you change your email,i won't be changing it again in a hurry..lol)

It should posted in the news section about it or in a place where everyone can see it and be notified.
