a box in winuae gui for adding user notes wud be ace

hi,
what i really miss is an extra options box in the gui that lets you enter some notes, and so these cud be referred to ingame, ie, you cud just press f12 during game and check on your notes.

who knows, if allowed to enter sufficent text (scrollable, and font changing too wud be great) a whole community cud build up around this feature, e.g, i have copious notes on my fav games detailing all sorts of info from what original game glitches to look out for, what to do when get there, whether to have autofire on or off, whether to cont or use 1 credit for score based play, ingame weapons to avoid, etc etc.

a lot of amiga games have nuances that sometimes need to be explained and what better way than to have a personal reference guide ingame at the press of a button (like the history feature in mame, brought up ingame via ingame gui)

anyway,thanx for listening
cheers

There is such a option. Go to the configurations window and look at the 'Additional Information' field. You can specify one text document for each game if you want

i can only get one text document to be read for all configs, i cannot seem to get each config to have its own, they all read the last document i attach.

ill faff about a bit more, but i dont know if its poss ?

Hmm, that's strange. You have to save the config for the extra info to be set for this and you have to press on load to display the one saved for it. Maybe you could try it again.

ooops, u just beat me to it, i had indeed forgot to save the config.

however i shall not use this feature cos it just minimizes winuae to the task bar when viewing the note, id rather use a frontend for notes in this case,

cough cough, sly link, cud you please view my new post about jamiga in the uae wishlist forum,

cheers
