Any Booting Picture Program for ECS?

Yes, the question is easy. I've tried BootScreen and PicBoot (don't work with it) and now BootPicture, that runs nice with ECS... but it doesn't let you choose any other picture but the one that it contains in an executable (btw it has the source).

Please?

Edit: I was going to try another, but they were only screenshots.

It works, although it seems it stops all the booting while it's showed. Thanks

I'm trying to remember the programs that I used when the A600 came out, It would display a boot pic and play a soundfile on boot.

It seems it isn't so easy. It seems the size of the pic has to be smaller too.

Ejem... they are two executables without instructions. Making C-fade with an iff turned the screen to black (well, I had the config for AGA).

Where they come from?

Edit: Ah, new post. That PicBoot has to be the same of Aminet, hasn't it?

Edit: OK, has nothing to be. Nice!! I will have a look at this... how to install it, if it can work with AGA too, if I can change the music and picture... But it looks nice. Thanks a lot.

Not tried it myself, but if you are using OS3+ you could give Rainboot3 a go. It was released as freeware on the Airsoft website but I don't think it is available now that Hollywood is not on sale... So I have put it in the zone.

Working here... are you extracting into the same directory you have the Rainboot3_2.lha? The archive cointains a readme a keyfile.lha and a Rainboot3_2.lha - so it should be extracted to a different directory or it will try to overwrite itself.

Just downloading it says it's bad... but I've extracted it in WinUAE. Anyway still there is a problem with the install, saying a problem with file rainbow3.info. Will try again.

Thanks. Anyway I've installed it manually and it works. I have to look for the options it has (a lot) to start how to center the pic.
The has the same problem, but as I've said now I've got it installed. Thanks

Ive been using picboot on my classicwb 3.9 for many years, and it works great, but recently ive made a cf with wb 3.1, and i couldnt get picboot to work. It doesnt give any errors, it just doesnt work.

Since picboot doesnt have an installer, can someone hint me to where those files have to be copied?

By the way, ive manually inserted this command line to my Startup-Sequence:
C:PicBoot SYS:Prefs/Presets/boot_images/AMIGAa5.iff DETACH
(That same command line works under 3.9)

Can someone please help? thanks...

In Startup-sequence where did you place the command?
What graphic format and what resolution did you use?
you can attach the image AMIGAa5.iff

Thanks for your help once again AMIGASYSTEM

The command line was indeed misplaced on the startup-sequence.
Ive tested it under a newshell and it opened the image, so i knew at that time, that my path was correct.

After that, i concluded that i might misplaced the command line on my Startup-Sequence, so ive moved it to the beginning and voilá...
