I can still remember it clearly. It was the game Stormlord by Hewson.

First original game must have been Fire and Ice CD32. Amazing release.

Still remember the ominous epilepsy warning.

Hey, I had a blast playing Turbo Outrun. All games are better when you don't know any better.

I did not really know when I bought my first game (since I have over 5000 originals, now),
but one of the first must be Crystals Of Arborea in 1990/91.
I was so impressed by the Graphics, Sounds and gameplay.
It is still one of my favorites and the Ishar Series is the best on Amiga for me.

Parents bought me Gold of The Realm (never worked that one out) and Future Bike when I got my Amiga..... as for buying for myself, thats a tough one to recall. Remember buying The Godfather (amazing looking, shite gameplay), Gunship 2000 among others but what the first was, who knows.

Not the worst to start with. A little silent most of the time, that would be a little disappointing when you get a fresh new Miggy - you want it blasting epic sound and music Interesting title music though, very unique.

It was definitely an interesting concept, Silmarils was good at that. Both Crystals and Metal Mutant are just weirdly wonderful games that have never been really repeated. And Ishar too of course, the whole politics system within the group... genius, but not for the modern gamer

Running around in the dark can be a pretty scary ordeal too in Crystals. It must have been the first game I ever saw with a day and night cycle and boy was it realistic.

Defender of the Crown. Parents bought it though. I completed it too. The girl in the nightgown was so inticing then.

too bad into Lords of the Rising Sun is much more difficult to save the princess

does the second CD chapter (defender of the crown) had some similar save the princess sequence?

I bought a fair few games back then. My memory is a little hazy about the exact order, but I think the first was Birds of Prey. Cannon Fodder, Dune 2, Civilization and Railroad Tycoon were all around that time too. Good times...

I don't really think I ever bought a game, not even 1, other than what came with the original A500 pack, and the A1200 Desktop Dynamite pack.

Everything else was leached from some form of legitimite (not) BB, or computer fair, somewhere hidden within the depths of some kind of bat cave deep inside an immense mountain, to keep it hidden away from prying eyes

Having not played either I s'pose I'm living it. I did look at the CDTV/CD32 DOTCII but a bit pricey. Dark Castle is another one I haven't followed through to the sequel.

the first Amiga game i bought was Indiana Jones 4 Fate of Atlantis Adventure for 410 francs, localized in french. The best 410 francs ever spent on a game. Very expensive, but i got so many hours of pleasure with this game wow

True dat
But coming from Speccy, Prehistoric was like an HD rainbow wonderland

Also, Prehistorik is really not that bad of a game. I play a round or two of it even today.

since I live In the states getting a hold of (Legal) Amiga software was quite the task. The first game I purchased was the original dragons lair which was the same shop I purchased my 500 from. After that I purchased wrestlemania for the Amiga because it looked so similar to the arcade game WWF superstars. This was before any reviews so I just purchased it sight unseen and boy was that a mistake. The next one was Robocop 3D which was awesome but it cost me at the time $65.

got the miggy in oct 1991, and I don't remember the first game I bought. I must admit the first games I played were cracks.

I bought only a few games in the early days. Ex: 1992. I may forget some: Deliverance, Push Over, Assassin, Zool, Flashback, First Samurai
Then 1993: Chaos Engine (the day it was released), Cadaver the payoff, Alien Breed SE
Then more in 1994 and above. Project X SE, Qwak. Others not so great (Xtreme Racing...) and a few CD32 titles. And a lot of second hand too.

i remember also the first non original Amiga disk i bought
i got it in a newstand, it was a magazine + disk

two games on the disk, IK+ and a Snow Ski game
both with the name changed, like on the C64 times

the funny thing, both games there was the review in the magazine, with the correct original name

My first Amiga game was Amegas (cracked) bought on the day I bought my Amiga along with Alien Syndrome (cracked).

First original was Virus, offered by my uncle. I was horrible at it.
