I thought the AF #18 disk of it was the complete game? no?

I love this game, Im playing it now, my only grumble is the mouse controls. the horizontal movement is normal but the vertical movement is inverted. It takes a while to get used to.

You're right, it was the full game! I recall the mouse being a bit of a nightmare going down those tunnels!...

Tell you what game reminds me instantly of Interphase - Trex!

Trex is pretty cool and addictive Bet you'd like that - came free on August 1993's The One coverdisk

Wow Interphase - got a demo originally on an st amiga format coverdisk (i think) then later got the full game with an st format disk - so only ever played it on atari <ducks>. Awesome idea. Must go and download - I think i finished it back then... Pointless trivia - the sampled drum beat from "you drive me crazy" was the intro music

<edit> Yeah Trexx Warrior was kinda similar graphically... didn't enjoy the game quite so much however...

I thought Trex was amazing once you got your teeth really into it and it was one of the few games i completed for Amiga.Mind you i loved most 3d games.Worth another shot i'd say Paul

Interphase was tricky later on but remember being fasinated by it all.It was essentially a puzzler i think i recall correctly

Pointless and also incorrect. You mean "She Drives me Crazy" by FYC, "You Drive me Crazy" was a Shakin' Stevens song. LEARN FROM ME, MORTAL.

One of my favourite games.

I was initially seduced by its oddness, if I can describe it that way - for many years, I ignored following the game's plot and the objectives it threw at me, and simply floated about, exploring the surreal environment with an open mouth and awe-inspired glee.

I'd go gaga at all the psychedelic colours, launch a mini-squadron of homing missiles at one large, rocket shaped entity, and have lots of fun tractor-beaming a pair of little ships that would go shooting past me at incredible speeds.

And then, after many years of doing this, I realised the game had a plot. And goals. And I started to go about accomplishing them. This made me become even more immersed in this unique and eccentric game world.

Unfortunately, I never made it past level four. But I didn't really care, because I was having so much fun in the process.

An exact description of my experience with the game. I loved the computer graphics, playing around and flying through the rooms at high speed. I love the style.

Then I found a walkthrough in Amiga Joker (don't remember which month), and I suddenly found out about the meaning of the game. I'm still looking for that walkthrough - Can't find one on the internetz

I thought it was impressive and imaginative (especially if you like the book Neuromancer) but ultimately I wanted the 3D element to be a bit deeper than it was. Had it included a skilful combat element, and been a bit more challenging, I think it would have been a great game rather than just an innovative approach to a puzzle game with some cool 3D.

I remember the supersmooth 3D graphics and I was quite intrigued by the world that was created... I never got around finishing the game though.... Maybe I should give it another go after, what, 19+ years?

Thank you.

If anyone is interested, the Amiga game Neuromancer is actually pretty good too - although as a point and click adventure it only goes so far to capturing the flavour, I think Interphase had the better approach with its 3D representation of Cyberspace and 2D infiltration game, just lacking the depth in the 3D side, IMHO.
