I recently downgraded from XP to Win8.1 and was devastated that DeliPlayer2 no longer worked. Finding this new player has been a life saver. Seems a bit flakey at the moment, but hopefully development will continue to make it more stable. Either way, fantastic job bLAZER.

I realise that the feature requests part of your site isn't open yet, but here's a few minor ones from me:

1. Add support for the FadeLength property found in AY files. No AY player has ever supported this setting. Its intended function is to indicate how long a track will volume fade-out once the SongLength had been reached.

2. The Dumper property in AY files doesn't seem to be being read correctly by your player as it is blank for all the AY files I tried (downloaded from Project AY).

Sorry to divert proceedings, but these earlier points got buried and the MIDI problems should be relatively trivial to fix.

The attached .mid files are in RIFF-RMID format, BZR already plays RIFF-WAVE with PCM or ADPCM contents so FMOD probably supports the format as-is. Skipping the RIFF chunk by searching for MThd would also work. The note data is definitely valid as I did a quick test first playing them in foobar2000, then stripped off the header and had them playing in BZR just fine.

@meynaf: Are the files that won't play for you RIFF wrapped as well?

They're nothing fancy or exotic just gzipped RIFF-RMIDs, you already have zlib to do the decompression so when BZR opens a MIZ file just check for the gzip signature (1F 8B), the rest you know already. Again the two files played fine, I did the same test as above with the added step of unpacking them first as foobar2000 doesn't support this format either, as far as I know it was only ever implemented in WinAMP.

That's strange because only rjp.menu plays in bzr104 for me. BZR apparently behaves a bit like a stock installation of DeliPlayer i.e. only the first sub-song is evaluated but since that happens to be empty, BZR just sits there "playing" silence until you manually skip to the second. I also tried BZR with some rips from Cannon Fodder and got results that were the same but also different depending on which file I tried. rjp.WARX4 & rjp.JON play 100% fine, but they're not comparable because their first sub-songs aren't empty. All of the level tunes failed to play in BZR and again had empty first sub-songs, so at least the behaviour is consistent. UADE was used as reference during testing and continues to perform like a champion.

My thanks and best wishes to bLAZER, Michael and Heikki.

Nope. All general midi i have play correctly on current bzr. Only the xmi don't play (and they are not riff wrapped).

VGMPlay is now working in BZR Player which means support for many different arcade, console and computer systems in .vgm.

Lots of work behind the scenes in progress. Upgraded to latest QT-version and MingW. A bunch of sound libraries also upgraded. VGMPlay is now working properly. Hoping to release a new version pretty soon when I get everything working again with the new compiler.

Sorry about the delay. Had some font issues with QT (C++ library) so that the pattern view looks like crap. I'll try to finish the new release soon.

I'm back! QT apparently dropped support for bitmap fonts in Windows so I've had to rewrite a lot of the pattern views. But is going pretty good so far! So BZR Player may see a new release in the not so distant future.

There! All pattern views are now looking exactly like before. So now let's pack things up and see if we can get a new release this month.

Yes, given the amount of supported formats, it would be very useful on Amiga OS, in particular on Amiga OS RTG
