Yeah, and then the big news drops: Valve is moving Steam to Origin and focuses on Half Life 3 development.

nobody buys their games because EA, not because of the method of distribution.

Gamers are sick of all the DLC crap and finally voting with their wallets.

But to be fair, some of companies on steam are just as bad (if not worse).... Check my example with Paradox games on other topic.

Well the unfortunate thing is the world is full of companies that are monetizing all they can, mainly because they want to make that extra coin.

It has been taken to the extreme is many cases like what EA does with all the micro-transactions.

However, there is one good thing that has come about due to this greed factor:
