...or the new biendienness of the moves.l opcode can open up the possibility of a web assembly VM, thus allowing the use of newer compilers than MorphOS and AOS 4.x have access to, thus making porting easier.

I have liked Clang better than GCC for some time and Emscripten is a Clang version for JavaScript and WebAssembly.

A small update of the work in the Vampire 1200, a photo, whatever, would make me happy...

@TEOL Most likely scenario: you'll be running Internet Explorer in MacOS 8.1 running in Fusion emulator ;-)

Edit:
Or try icab 2.9.9 for 68k mac
Still available for download here:

I just saw that :

Quote:
The Apollo team found a manufacturer to produce A1200 connectors for the upcoming A1200 Vampire. This new accelerator board could push the Commodore Amiga 1200 classic to new boundaries! The Apollo team has not announced any date of release or price details, but hopes are high for summer 2017. The production will start when the new board design is completed. The card design has been redesigned and is optimized for mass production!
Message posted here on November 7, 2016. As the connector was the main blockage point, I guess it's only a matter of time now.

Nothing new apart from the last known which was the 1200 connectors, If they are using a snap on connector to the A1200 68020, they need a 132 pin PLCC socket snug enough to snap in to place on the 68020, unless they are using the trapdoor, and those are in VERY short supply.

I know Steve Leary (Terriblefire) has been thinking about getting a company to do a run of the connectors, he has a SIMILAR connector, which is identical, but has 2 too many pins and is trying to convince a supplier to do a run of the connectors with the right number of pins.

they have the trap door connector thing licked, its actually the same as a PCI slot! not wired the same, but the same slot, and pin size etc. Anyway, the last blog, quite some time ago, said they had found a supplier for the connectors, so all good.

Oh was that the adapter that Kipper made (I think it was), converts the A1200 trapdoor, to a PCI slot, so all you need is a PCI connector edge on the card, and it slots in ?

But that adapter will not be used for v1200, kippa made that for testing purposes, it makes it easier for a developer to make multiple prototype cards without soldering on the edge connector... The info from Vampire team has always been that v1200 will have a standard a1200 edge connector like all a1200 accelerators.

The adapter doesn't remove the need of one A1200 connector per vampirised A1200 and requires an additional connector. So it doesn't make much sense for a product. It is more of a development tool so that you don't have to use as many A1200 connectors during the prototype stage.
