I’m now using HDINSTTOOLS and it picks up my 80gb Seagate drive fine although it’s shown as 8,063 MB.
I’ve installed the Fastfilesystem. When I try to format the drive I get a Format failed error -3. I’m using WB3.0 Is there a maximum size for a Hard Drive on the Amiga system could this be the cause of the error. |

AmigaOS in gerneral has a limit of 4GB and the AlfaPower obviously has an 8GB lmit.
-3 means "command not supported by device". Use quick format for harddrives. You never need to format an already formatted drive. Every harddrive comes already formatted from the manufacturer. |

Does it matter that the Drive was previously used in a PC don’t I need to format it to Amiga Dos.

Just quick format, not a full slow-format.
