WTB: AGP gfx card
Not really Amiga related. I'm after an AGP gfx card so all you lot who are upgrading and putting them in cupboards or bins... get them out and flog them to me.
I'm after something along the lines of a Geforce 6600GT or better. |

My X600pro I am selling in another thread, I thought it was PCI-e but on the back it has a sticker saying AGP.
If you are interested in this card I could take a picture of it. I was sure it was PCI-e but the AGP label has confused me. It was a decent card when I used it. It could play relitively modern games such a Company of Heroes with pretty decent settings. A powerful card for its time. |

X600Pro is I think as slow as I'd be prepared to go. It's about the same as a 6600GT.
How much are you looking for? I was thinking no more than £10 + postage. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=260275952301 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=120293930162 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=280254022196 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=270267138861 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=310077865807 I'd also need to see a quick photo to confirm it was AGP. I have a Radeon 9800SE to sell, but I live in Italy, so postage can be too expensive...

Postage would be too much, plus how would I pay?

Thanks but I could get one (or rather I could get a 128Mbyte 9800 Pro) for less than €25 here in UK.
Plus the 9800SE is slightly below the the minimum capability I would accept (6600GT). I'd really like something a little faster. I bought a 9700 Pro off someone about 12 months ago for £30 inc postage but the damn thing didn't work and they would not refund so I was stuck with my FX5200 for another year I have top bid on a 3850 but I wont win. It's still got several days to run and it is already very close to my max bid. Last edited by alexh; 01 September 2008 at 19:34. |

whats the top AGP card these days?
I am running an x1950pro. Would the latest AGP champion show any significant gaming performance hike? |

3850
It depends on your CPU performance. Probably not. The GPU is many times faster but it probably spends more time waiting for CPU than rendering. |

That image is terrible but you can just make out that it is a PCIe card.

The easiest way to spot the difference is the staggered pins of AGP which you cannot see. (And it IS a terrible photograph)
Unfortunately it's not of any use to me Thanks anyhow. |

I've got a few (OLD) AGP cards. I have no idea what type they are or if they work so I would have to test them first. I think they've got some pretty ancient specs (max 64MB or so), but if that's okay with you you can have one for costs of P&P...

Erm, thanks but I did mention that the minimum spec I was after was Nvidia 6600GT or better.
I already have a 128Mbyte FX5200 (They cost £7.50 + p&p today new and of course suck). |
