So, you can import a Protracker module but it won't play the samples? I'm confused. I still cannot figure out what is going on with this. Is there a manual I am missing?
Welcome Sven! Thanks for making this program |

but it retains the instruments names, listed in instrument slider on main window - for accustics MT uses the connected midi equipment. i have only the guide in Help folder (documentation). - ensure you use a clean workbench 3.0/3.1 installation. as described above, on my uber pimped workbench it runs unstable/crashes. but on clean workbench ( just peterk's icon.library) it works well. best is 1.1.9/1.2.0. version 1.2.6 sometimes crashes on my clean workbench setup aswewll. |

Hmmm I guess I have to hook up the AMiga to the rest of the stuff, but I was under the impression this program would also playback samples and would import a PT module, be able to play it while also adding channels for MIDI control etc... I guess I was wrong
In any case, I would love to have a look at the code, Sven. It might help me out on learning how to do MIDI properly with the Amiga. |

To play back anything in Miditracker you need something on the midi end that has the sound generation capability. |

In theory you could load instruments into Octamed but trigger them from Miditracker. I've never used this but worth exploring: http://wiki.amigaos.net/wiki/Camd_Library |

The source also includes the keyfile maker and build instructions. However, it might be easier to just use Scott’s keyfile — btw thanks Scott for sharing! The local police might find that very interesting… Just kidding! @Akira: Scott/shax71 has already explained it — indeed the point of importing Protracker files was to keep the song/pattern information, and you would then configure your MIDI gear to match the original samples somehow. MT does not play samples itself because that’s what other trackers already do. Also, MIDI equipment usually plays sounds at much better quality than the original Amiga 8-bit audio channels. Wishing success to all who still work with MT! My apologies if the program crashes. Best, Sven PS: I just realized the .zip contains all those hidden Mac OS X files. Argh! Anyone tried assembling the source code?
I'm getting an error. I've copied the files to ram:asm and assigned sd0: to ram: thinking the path might have been hardcoded somewhere in the source but still no go. |

same here with asm-one 1.44, using asm-one plus 1.02, i get different error, some parenthesis are wrong.
so we have to find the correct asm-one version? using 1.44, I fixed the error with just define of those missing: moreTags dc.l 1 or replaced "+VALUE" ---> with "+0" in those lines above it was used 1st time. later i get some "range 16 bit" errors. fixed with replacing dc.w with dc.l definitions of those values. at the end some jsr (!?) with wrong range again, i could not fix. #1) another thing: extracting the zip source, there are some files, which have some garbage in the first lines. I just removed those lines from those files, but still i get the errors. Last edited by emufan; 19 September 2017 at 16:16. |

Hi,
The assembler (Asm-one? I think there was also another one) was able to save lines assigned to function keys, in other assemblers you see this as garbage. You can safely delete that. I remember I sometimes used “jsr xxx(a5)” which can be replaced with “jsr xxx” (absolute jsr). Best, Sven |
