Breakout game...
Hi All
Looking for an old breakout game, do not recall the name I am afraid, but it starts with some cavemen carving the name in rock, and a caveman swings across and crashes into the side of the screen and slides down. I would love a copy of this, if anybody can help. Thanks for your time. |

Here's a working config, must be used with WinUAE 0.8.14 R3 though. I haven't tried the game with newer releases.

Sorry about this, but I should have said before.
I emulate on the Mac, but the corrupt graphics thing also appears on an Amiga 1200, it only ever seemed to work on a flat bog standard A500. Can you please list the settings that you use in UAE, so that I can transpose them over to my Amiga Mac emulator? Thanks for your time. Last edited by Washac; 14 March 2003 at 12:05. |

Hmm, what game is this? *checking*
Uh. Well Washac, it might be *very* important to know WHICH emulator you're using on your Mac. Note that Arnaud Blanchard's version (0.8.6) is very old and it's nearly exactly equivalent to the 0.8.6 version of WinUAE. However, that one could neither cope with these weird custom track loaders nor these nifty copper and blitter tricks WinUAE can handle without problems now due to Toni's excellent work. So I hope for your sake that it's the MacOS X version you're using |

@Walker
I also occur grahic problems but your suggestion doesn't work for me. The first screen - Linel presents - shows up correctly. After this screen the display switches (I think to another resolution ?) and then I get those typical corrupted graphics. Damn... |

Yes, I am using The latest MacOSX, MaxUAE....
Yes, Konrad that is the exact problem. The only machine that I have had this game running on is a real A500..... Anybody got any other ideas. Thanks to all, so far..... Last edited by Washac; 16 March 2003 at 10:25. |

Wait a sec, guys.
Are you sure you follow my directions properly...? I tried the game again, and it works. You *must* use WinUAE 0.8.14 R3 though, the latest versions will give you corrupt gfx. |

Ladies and gentlemen, Mr. Wilen is a bit tied up with business at the moment, so I will answer for him. Tested and confirmed, works with beta. Fixed in next release. *puts mic away* |
