Octamed 4 with midi keyboard controller

Hi there, Amigos. I use an A600 with a MIDI keyboard controller. I read the Octamed V4 manual and learned how to define some keys to play different samples each one. But I have to keep pressed the shift key while pressing these keys on Amiga. So I was wondering if it's possible to define keys on the MIDI keyboard controller instead of the Amiga keys. Anyone knows? Thanks

Hi, thanks but in that link they ask "is it possible to control Octamed with a MIDI controller?". I already do this: I use the MIDI keyboard to play the Amiga samples and enter the notes on Octamed. What I want to do is to define some keys on the MIDI keyboard controller to play different samples each one, e.g., one will play a bass drum sample, another will play a snare drum etc. Perhaps I wasn't make myself clear before. Thanks again.

Yes, of course, otherwise he wouldn't. But I thought maybe my post was clear enough, because I didn't find in Map Editor the information I'm looking for.

Taken from the same post, which has OctamedV4 Manual included, and a recommendation to use it.

"INPUT MAP EDITOR: The default input map assigns a note to each MIDI key. When you press a MIDI key with the Edit Mode on, that note plays and is entered into the score. You can also create a map which assigns an edit function to be carried out when you press a key. For example, you could assign a key on your MIDI keyboard to move the cursor up and down, or to start playing a song. "

I didn't check if you can assign also modificator keys. Just try.

Did you ever manage to assign samples to keys? If so would be cool to hear how, I am stuck as well.
