A4000D memory

Hi, can anyone tell me if I can use a 4mb 72pin simm in the (U621) chipram slot, then 2 8mb 72pin simms in the remaining fast ram banks, rather than 4x4mb sticks? Also, does it need to be parity or non parity?

Cheers!

Iirc you can use an 8mb stick as chip ram (will show as 2mb) and 2x 8mb instead of 4x 4mb. Again iirc must be double sided. Sorry been out of the loop a while, might be a jumper to change for the 2x 8mb

No jumpers needed to run two 8MB simms as 16MB. Must be put in 2nd and 4th slots I believe.

Yes, you can use a 4MB SIMM in the Chip RAM slot (U261). Set the jumpers as following: J213=8M, J214=8M.
